The Sacred Mirror of Yes: When Love Reveals Who We Really Are

Ninety days ago, something changed.

Not because I planned it. Not because I was ready.

But because life showed up, wild and holy, and extended an invitation I could no longer deny.

It was the kind of invitation that doesn’t come in words.

It comes as a knowing in your bones. A stillness in the noise. A deep breath that tastes like freedom.

That moment marked the beginning of my sacred yes.

Before then, I didn’t know how much I was still negotiating with life.

Negotiating my joy for safety.

My truth for belonging.

My desires for predictability.

We do this, don’t we?

We make ourselves small in the name of being responsible.

We swallow our longings in the name of being practical. We wait for the "right time," forgetting that time is never right — it’s only ripe.

But when life offers you a mirror so clear that you can finally see the version of you that’s been waiting — patiently, powerfully — to be claimed… you stop negotiating.

You say yes.

And everything begins to reconfigure around that choice.

Because a true yes isn’t just a decision. It’s a reorientation.

It’s a declaration that says: I will no longer betray myself to stay comfortable.I will no longer shrink in the presence of my own becoming.

And what met me on the other side of that yes…

was love.

Not love as fantasy or fairytale.

Love as sacred mirror.

Love that reflects not who you’ve been — but who you are when you stop hiding.

Love that doesn’t fix you or complete you, but reveals you.

This kind of love — whether it comes through a partner, a child, a soul-friend, or the divine — doesn’t just hold you. It invites you to come home to yourself.

It shows you where you’ve been out of alignment.

Where you’ve forgotten your own worth.

Where you’ve settled for half-truths when your soul is crying out for wholeness.

And here’s the beauty:

When love is sacred, it doesn’t make you smaller. It makes you more.

It doesn’t demand your perfection. It awakens your truth.

It doesn’t trap you. It frees you.

We spend so much time searching outside ourselves for clarity, for answers, for signs.

But sometimes, what we need most is already inside us — locked behind the door marked “not yet.”

And it takes a moment, a love, a mirror… to finally turn the key.

So I ask you:

  • What are you still negotiating away?

  • Where are you saying “maybe” when your soul is crying out “yes”?

  • Who or what is holding up the mirror for you to remember?

Don’t wait.

The portal is open.

The mirror is shining.

And your sacred yes is already written in the stars.
