We Were Never Meant to Be Neutral: Reclaiming Sacred Vision, Sacred Fire

There’s a quiet myth that floats through many spiritual circles — that to walk the path of awakening means to rise above. To be calm. Neutral. Unbothered. As if neutrality is the highest state of consciousness we can attain.

But here’s the truth: neutrality is not always wisdom.

Sometimes, it’s fear.

Sometimes, it’s conditioning.

And often, it’s an attempt to stay safe — to avoid conflict, to be liked, to not make waves.

I know this intimately. Just recently, I had a moment where I almost didn’t share something online — something that felt honest and important. I paused, not because it lacked truth, but because I had a consideration: What if this makes someone feel uncomfortable? What if they think I’m making them wrong?

But I wasn’t blaming. I wasn’t shaming. I was inviting.

Inviting people to look.

To see something differently.

To notice what we’ve normalized.

To question what we’ve inherited.

And yet, I almost silenced myself — not to protect them, but to protect the illusion that being neutral equals being kind.

But love, it’s not kind to withhold the truth of our hearts.

It’s not kind to abandon our own clarity to make others more comfortable.

It’s not loving to pretend we don’t see what we see, feel what we feel, know what we know.

Sacred vision is love

.Sacred fire is love.

Not loud, not violent — but steady, clear, devoted.

There is a fire that lives in the soul of every one of us. It’s not here to burn others down — it’s here to keep us warm, to light the path, to protect what’s sacred.

And that includes our voices.

We were not meant to be neutral in the face of what matters.

We were not meant to water down our truth to fit inside someone else’s comfort zone.

Because when we silence ourselves to protect others from their discomfort, we also rob them of the opportunity to grow. We deny the mirror that might show them something important. We withhold the medicine of our perspective.

Sacred leadership doesn’t shout, but it doesn’t whisper either.

It speaks. Clearly. Gently. Unapologetically.

It shares what is seen from the heart, with the hope that it may open a doorway — not force one.

There is a way to be loving and bold.

There is a way to be clear without being cruel.

There is a way to say “this matters to me” without needing others to agree.

That is the path of sacred fire.

That is the call of sacred vision.

We are not here to tiptoe. We are here to walk with care.

We are not here to be palatable. We are here to be true.

We are not here to play small. We are here to shine light.

This isn’t about making others wrong.

It’s about finally making ourselves right — with our own soul.

So if you’ve ever swallowed your truth to avoid discomfort, I see you.If you’ve ever questioned the impact of your voice, I honor you.

But the world doesn’t need more people who stay silent for the sake of harmony.

It needs people who speak with love.

Who see with clarity.

Who lead with heart.

We were never meant to be neutral.

We were meant to be awake.

We were meant to be alive.

We were meant to be true.
